Bernard Rapoport, an outspoken liberal and a stalwart of Texas Democratic politics, died late Thursday night, April 5th, 2012, in Waco.

He was 94.

Bernard Rapoport left us after spending a lifetime of doing good with his partner and wife, Audre. There was a memorial service in Waco, yet so much of the work that B did centered in and around Washington, D.C. On May 15, 2012, there was a memorial service at the St. Regis Hotel with eulogies by Rabbi David Saperstein, Ron Rapoport, Emily & Abby Rapoport, Tom Daschle, Bob Borosage, Nancy Pelosi, Tom Harkin, and Bill Clinton.
